On June 20, 2022, An Giang Provincial People's Committee in coordination with Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) held a ceremony to launch and put into trial operation the Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) of An Giang province.

According to An Giang Provincial People's Committee, the IOC of the province is a solution to accelerate the development of a digital government, realize the goal of national digital transformation as required by the National Digital Transformation Program by 2025, with orientation toward 2030 of the Government. The construction of the IOC in An Giang province aims to serve the direction, administration and improve the efficiency of state management activities, contributing to improving people's quality of life, promoting sustainable socio-economic development.

In the immediate future, in the pilot phase, the IOC will integrate the following fields: analysing socio-economic data, dealing with administrative procedures, managing electronic documents, education, healthcare, tourism, accommodation, security camera systems, monitoring social network information and receiving feedback from people.
