On March 4, 2021, Bac Kan Provincial People's Committee officially put into operation the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC). This is one of nearly 30 IOC Centers built directly by VNPT Group for many provinces and cities in the past time in an effort to contribute to the digital transformation of the country. According to the leader of Bac Kan People's Committee, the deployment of the IOC Center will be an important premise for the province to quickly build itself into an e-government and a smart city in the near future.

Implementing a strategic cooperation agreement for the period 2020-2025 between the People's Committee of Bac Kan province and VNPT Group signed on September 16, 2020, as a strategic partner in telecom-IT, VNPT Group has deployed many information technology applications for the digitization of the administration at state agencies in Bac Kan province. In particular, the construction of Bac Kan IOC Center is one of the important items that VNPT quickly begins to deploy and is determined to put into operation in a short time.

The operation of Bac Kan IOC Center will help provincial leaders supervise and administer socio-economic indicators, monitor public administrative services, electronic documents; Supervise and administer the healthcare, education and tourism sectors; Smart security camera monitoring, traffic safety camera and information control on social networks.
