On December 9, the Bac Lieu City People's Committee and VNPT signed a cooperation agreement on Telecommunications - Information Technology (IT) for the period of 2022 - 2025 in order to implement a number of projects for digital transformation in the fields of digital government, digital economy and digital society.

The two sides agreed to cooperate in 3 following contents: providing IT solutions for the project of digital transformation and building a smart city; building and developing digital infrastructure; and develop human resources for telecommunications, IT and digital content development.

The cooperation agreement aims to maximize the strengths of the two sides, mobilize general resources to support each other to perform well their functions and tasks, contributing to bringing mutual benefits to the authorities, local people and enterprises.
