On November 22, the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City held an inauguration ceremony and put the Smart Education Operating Centre into operation. This centre was built with the support from VNPT Group.

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the Smart Education Operating Centre, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City Tran Thanh Binh said, the city has recently been very interested in digital transformation and promoting the development of smart urban areas, seeing this as a driving force for socio-economic development.

The city also selected 9 priority areas for digital transformation, including education. Therefore, the city's education sector has also promoted and applied digital platforms to meet the city's development needs.

Can Tho City is one of the early units in the Mekong Delta to put the Smart Education Operating Centre into operation.
