With the establishment of the Intelligent Operation Center, Quang Nam has been ready to actively take part in the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) on the basis of modern technologies with a view to carrying out the mission of developing e-government with the support and cooperation of VNPT.

In 2017, Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee approved the plan named “Developing information technology (IT) in Quang Nam by 2020”. So far, Quang Nam has made breakthrough changes in telecommunications and IT infrastructure, made best use of IT applications and met the demand of local people and enterprises; as well as contributed to the province’s socio-economic development, raised Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and ICT Index.

The construction of IOC is the basis of the formation of advanced and model Quang Nam’s Smart City, contributing to a quality boost in people’s lives and public bureaus’ operational efficiency, promoting sustainable economic progress. This is also one of the successes resulting from the attempts at building the province’s e-Government.
