According to the announced results, Ookla – a renowned internet speed testing outfit – has given VNPT/VinaPhone the fastest 3G/4G network title in Vietnam. This is the second consecutive year to witness this victory by Vinaphone.

Ookla (headquarters based in the USA) is among the global leaders in internet testing and data analysis. Speedtest, the company’s flagship product, is the most accurate way to measure internet performance and network diagnostics. Through the measurements undertaken by the users, Speedtest will assemble, grade and announce the speed rankings of network providers on a 6-month basis. In Vietnam, Speedtest is used by millions of users across several big network suppliers.

According to recent announcements of Ookla, VNPT/VinaPhone is considered the fastest 3G/4G network provider in Viet Nam during the last two quarters of 2019 with the speed point reaching 31.30. Specifically, the average download speed of VinaPhone was 33.06 Mbps and the upload speed was 18.75 Mbps. Most notably, the download speed of VinaPhone was far superior to other network suppliers (2.42 and 10.37 higher than those of the top 2 and top 3 suppliers). This is considered a stable speed and can replace cable Internet in many cases. The Ookla organization let it be known that the data above was measured by the users themselves in different geographical locations, times and devices. Therefore, it is apparent that VinaPhone’s 3G/4G used on a wide scale with stable and relatively even speed in all regions.
