Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group VNPT has been chosen by the People's Committee of Lai Chau province as a strategic partner in Telecommunications - Information Technology, accompanying the development of Lai Chau province, building e-government, digital transformation and smart city construction in the 2021-2025 period.

The signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the People's Committee of Lai Chau province and Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group VNPT which recently took place in Hanoi is a continuation of the previous strategic cooperation process with impressive achievements recorded between the two sides.

According to a memorandum of understanding between the People's Committee of Lai Chau Province and VNPT Group, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the People's Committee of Lai Chau and VNPT will jointly support each other in promoting investment and upgrading infrastructure of telecommunications, expanding and improving the coverage of mobile phones data and Internet, applying information technology to meet the requirements of digital transformation, building e-Government for development of digital government and urban communication during the Industrial Revolution 4.0 period for the province.
