Lao Cai is a highland province with a divided terrain, low level of education and limited awareness of the role and importance of IT, development and application of ICT. However, after only 1 year of signing the cooperation agreement on digital transformation in the 2021-2025 period with VNPT, Lao Cai has quickly entered the digital transformation flow.

VNPT Group has focused on investing its resources in both technology, finance and human resources to develop telecommunications-IT infrastructure as well as digital transformation projects for Lao Cai and has achieved many encouraging results. Notably, VNPT has successfully deployed the tourism portal of Lao Cai province at the domain name: https://laocaitourism.vn and Smart Tourism application on smartphone and tablet devices for iOS and Android operating systems with the application name: "Lao Cai Tourism".

VNPT and Lao Cai province has also promoted the implementation of "VnEdu Education Management Ecosystem" to 100% of schools in the province; software system for management of medical examination and treatment and health insurance payment for over 50% of medical facilities...

The telecommunications infrastructure built by VNPT in Lao Cai has reached upland and remote areas and telecommunications services are increasingly diversified, bringing many benefits to the local production, business and social life of people.
