Recently, the Youth Union of VNPT Group has participated in the journey "Youth with the homeland's sea and islands" in 2023.

During two days of the journey, the working group implemented a lot of practical and meaningful activities on the island such as: Visiting Tho Chau temple which worships Uncle Ho; heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of liberating the island; and 500 Vietnamese people killed by Khmer Rouge Pol Pot troops in May 1975; Visiting and giving gifts to units and armed forces stationed on the island; Visiting and giving gifts to policy families and students in need; Organizing training course on preventing illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing; Organizing the Festival "Childhood with the homeland's sea and islands"; Organizing an art exchange program with the theme "For the Southwest seas and islands - For the front line of the Fatherland".

In particular, during the Youth Union Journey, VNPT Group awarded and installed 10 free Wifi hotspots for people on the island worth 75 million VND and 02 free wifi hotspots for officers of Regiment 152 - Military Region 9 worth 15 million VND. It is known that on Tho Chu Island currently there is no electricity grid, the Internet and phone signals are unstable, so VNPT Youth’s "Free Wifi Hotspots" have really brought great value to local people and officials as well as armed forces stationed there.
