VNPT and Qualcomm signed a Framework Agreement on licensing, tools, and technological equipment for research, testing, development, and trial production of telecommunications equipment and technology solutions in various fields of IoT/Smart City/5G.

At the "Vietnam - US Business Forum for cooperation in the field of technology and innovation" organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Consulate General of Vietnam in San Francisco and the US - ASEAN Business Council organization, VNPT Group - Vietnam's leading telecommunications and digital service provider, and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., a leading American multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company, have signed a Framework Agreement on licensing, tools, and technological equipment to cooperate in developing IoT/Smart City solutions, manufacturing telecommunications equipment, and testing 5G-related technology.

This agreement was signed in San Francisco, US, on September 18, 2023 by General Director of VNPT Group Huynh Quang Liem and Executive Vice President of Global Commercialization of Qualcomm Tecnologies Inc. James Jeon under the witness of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
