As reported by Facebook and Apple, the Internet connection using IPv6 is 1.4 times faster than using IPv4. With outstanding advantages, IPv6 is a new generation Internet protocol, designed using the default for deploying 4G / LTE, 5G, IoT. The trend of using pure IPv6 network is widely deployed in large-scale online services, at Internet service providers, mobile networks and big data centers in the world.

Accompanying with the state management agencies and businesses, in recent years, VNPT has been one of the telecom and IT enterprises actively involved in the application of IPv6 in serving the deployment of e-government and digital transformation. VNPT Group is one of the enterprises that has successfully completed the national action plan on IPv6 according to the set of evaluation criteria with a high rate (over 120%). Up to now, VNPT has provided IPv6-based services, contributing to Vietnam's IPv6 traffic. With infrastructure and Internet services of enterprises, VNPT now has 4 million FTTH subscribers using IPv6; 3 million VinaPhone mobile subscribers have IPv6 applications. Regarding IPv6 traffic of Vietnam Internet, large enterprises have contributed mainly to the total IPv6 traffic of Vietnam.
