On April 21st, in Ha Noi, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, the Minister of Information and Communications and the Chairman of Viet Nam – India Friendship Association presented the Indian Ambassador in Viet Nam – Mr. Pranay Verma with 100.000 facial masks. These are the gifts from VNPT Group and MobiFone Corporation. The VNPost Corporation will support the transportation of these masks to An Do.
The guests of the ceremony included the representatives of the Viet Nam – India Friendship Association, Viet Nam’s Red Cross Association, the Ministry of Foreign affairs, Viet Nam’s Confederacy of Friendship organzations. According to Minister Nguyen Manh Hung, despite the fact that the gift was insignificant to the enormous Indian demand, it was still the embodiment of the love, solidarity and friendship that the citizens of Viet Nam have for their Indian counterparts.
As a token of gratitude towards Viet Nam, Ambassador Pranay Verma asserted that as a close companion, India was willing to help out when Viet Nam needed support. Particularly, regarding the Information and Media Industry, India is closely collaborating with Vietnamese counterparts and is currently launching many IT projects in Viet Nam such as: the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City’s software development center or Ha Noi’s elite training programme for IT human resources.
