On December 3, the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho city in collaboration with VNPT and Thoi Lai district People's Committee launched the model of 4.0 Market - cashless payment at Thoi Lai market.

With the Market 4.0 model, traders can buy and sell goods by scanning QR codes or transferring money via phone numbers on the application quickly, conveniently and easily. Mr. Ha Vu Son, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Can Tho City, said: “4.0 market model - cashless payment is an inevitable trend that brings a lot of conveniences to users. Over the past time, VNPT has accompanied the municipal Department of Industry and Trade in digital transformation, including the implementation of a non-cash payment market”.

In Can Tho, following the direction of the city's Department of Industry and Trade on coordinating the implementation of the 4.0 market model - cashless payment, VNPT coordinated with local authorities to pilot the 4.0 market model at Tan An market, Cai Khe Trade Center (Ninh Kieu district); An Thoi market (Binh Thuy district), GO! Supermarket (Cai Rang district) and Thoi Lai market (Thoi Lai district). After 3 months of piloting this model in Can Tho, there were nearly 1,000 points accepting VNPT Money payment, more than 54,000 customers using VNPT Money wallet to carry out their transactions and payment. VNPT has also developed 55 points of deposit and withdrawal of VNPT Money wallet in districts.
