Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has just been licensed by the Ministry of Information and Communications (TT&TT) to test commercial network and 5G services (License No. 498/GP-BTTTT dated 9-11-2020).

It is expected that VNPT demonstrates the launch of a 5G commercial test with 4 points in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. To prepare for this test, VNPT-Net Network Infrastructure Corporation (under VNPT Group) is completing the investment in network equipment to prepare for installation in two cities.

In Hanoi, VNPT covers 5G in some locations, mainly in Hoan Kiem lake pedestrian street and in Hai Ba Trung district. In Ho Chi Minh City, VNPT deployed 5G coverage in crowded places, such as Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, Notre Dame Cathedral area (District 1) and in the central area of ​​District 3, district 10.
