On September 18th, the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation agreement on telecommunications - information technology (IT) in 2020 – 2025 between Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Posts And Telecommunications (VNPT) Group was held. This is the continuity of the cooperation between two sides after successes gained in the period 2015-2020. This deal shows that Kon Tum desires to deploy digital solutions and become one of the pioneer localities in the speeding up the IT application to the province’s management, bring benefits to both local people and enterprises.
The IOC is one of the most important item in the cooperation agreement on Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunications between VNPT and Kon Tum province’s People’s Committee in the period from 2020 to 2025. Kon Tum’s IOC is provided with modern equipment and applications. It will help the province’s leaders direct, assess and analyze information and data exactly, fast and effectively thanks to digital technologies. Currently, the IOC will focus on 10 areas including: managing socia-economic targets, public administration, traffic, land management, environment, education, healthcare, tourism, receiving complaints through hotlines to the province’s leaders, and help the authorities have the overview on the information on bodies, agencies, areas… across the province.
Addressing at the signing ceremony, Ms Tran Thi Nga, Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee said: “For the past time, VNPT has affirmed its position as a pioneer economic group in applying technologies of 4.0 as well as setting up e-government for cities and provinces. I strongly believe, with VNPT’s capability, after the signing ceremony, VNPT will have specific plans in order to help the province successfully build e-government and materlize all the goals set by two sides”.
