Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has appointed Mr. Nguyen Van Tan as General Director of VNPT VinaPhone for a five-year term.

The appointment ceremony for the position of General Director of VNPT VinaPhone was held by VNPT Group in Hanoi. The decision to appoint the management personnel of VNPT VinaPhone was issued by the Board of Members of VNPT Group on August 15, 2023.

Speaking at the appointment ceremony, the new General Director of VNPT VinaPhone Nguyen Van Tan shared that the nearly 25 years of working under the "common roof" of VNPT was a valuable time in which he had had opportunities to devote, cultivate knowledge, learn in an excellent team, as well as collaborate with excellent people and grow from this environment.

Aware of that VNPT VinaPhone needs to have business solutions to adapt to the new situation in order to fulfill the set goals, Mr. Nguyen Van Tan is committed in the coming time to focusing on comprehensively implementing the Group's business strategy; effectively deploying the core and new service business operating model, promoting the strength and affirming the position of VNPT Group in the telecommunications-IT market in Vietnam.

VNPT VinaPhone is the key corporation of VNPT Group, responsible for deploying the Group's business of Telecommunications and Information Technology services nationwide.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, born in 1974, holds a doctorate in economics. He has worked at VNPT, the parent company of VinaPhone, for nearly 25 years. He was a lecturer at the Institute of Posts and Telecommunications; deputy director of Software and Communication Company (VASC); deputy general director of VNPT Media; and from June 2021, deputy general director of VinaPhone.
