In 2014, the People's Committee of Quang Nam Province and VNPT Group signed a cooperation agreement on Telecommunications – IT. So far Quang Nam has made great changes in the Telecommunications - IT infrastructure, effectively using the applications, meeting the needs of people and businesses, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. The cooperation also contributes to improving the provincial competitiveness index of the PCI, including the change of the ICT Index from 41 in 2018 to 18 in 2019.

As a strategic partner on telecom - IT, over the past 5 years, VNPT Group has focused on investing in telecommunications infrastructure, information technology, ensuring all resources, multi-interconnection for all state agencies of Quang Nam in order to promote the application of IT in the field of management, thereby step by step improve e-government, develop smart cities, especially key industries like Healthcare, Education, Tourism ...

The above achievements have become the foundation for the new cooperation strategy. During the 2021-2025 cooperation period, VNPT Group continues to focus on developing the telecom-IT infrastructure for Quang Nam province, cooperating to build e-Government, digital transformation, and smart city with solutions for Agriculture, Education, Health, Transport, and Environmental Resources.
