On March 10, 2025, Visa (NYSE: V) - the world's leading electronic payment technology company, and VNPT-Media, a subsidiary of VNPT Group, signed a strategic partnership ageement to promote digital payment solutions and enhance financial inclusion in Vietnam.

As the core unit of VNPT Group in the national digital transformation strategy, VNPT-Media has been providing the entire infrastructure and digital financial service ecosystem integrated with the digital services that VNPT Group offers to the market.

Under the agreement, Visa and VNPT-Media focus on key areas, delivering advanced digital payment solutions by integrating Visa’s cutting-edge technologies, including the Pay by Wallet solution and Unified Commerce Solutions (Cybersource), into the VNPT Money digital financial ecosystem. This collaboration will introduce new payment methods, enhance seamless and secure transaction experiences for both merchants and consumers, and provide personal financial solutions that enable VNPT customers to access digital financial services and cross-border payments with ease.

Additionally, within this strategic cooperation, Visa and VNPT-Media work together to develop innovative payment strategies aligned with Vietnam’s National Digital Infrastructure Planning by 2030. Notably, the implementation of Visa Government Solutions will enhance transparency, security, and efficiency in public sector transactions, catering to the specific needs of government operations.

The partnership between Visa and VNPT-Media also prioritizes supporting the digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). By leveraging data insights to establish alternative credit risk scoring mechanisms, Visa and VNPT-Media will help SMBs access funding more easily. This initiative is expected to encourage financial institutions to expand their funding opportunities, empowering SMBs to grow and contribute to economic development.

With the combined strengths of both parties, this collaboration will enable VNPT-Media to further refine and expand its digital financial ecosystem. It also aligns with VNPT Group’s broader goal of becoming a key national technology corporation, laying a solid foundation for sustainable digital transformation across all sectors and industries, ultimately fostering Vietnam’s digital economy and society.
