According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) of Can Tho City, the Department is actively coordinating with city and local departments and agencies to carry out many activities supporting farmers, cooperatives and businesses to promote products’ consumption through e-commerce platforms.

In order to push the online consumption of agricultural products, accelerate digital transformation and develop the agricultural digital economy, the city's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has coordinated with VNPT in Can Tho to build an e-commerce platform: chonongsancantho.vn.

Currently, 45 organizations and individuals are introducing 138 agricultural products and processed foods on this e-commerce platform. In addition, the Department also coordinates with relevant departments and units to train, guide and create conditions for farmers and agricultural producing businesses to advertise and sell their products at many other e-commerce platforms such as: voso.vn; postmart.vn; sendo.vn; lazada.vn…

Up to now, 17,800 agricultural production households have participated in e-commerce platforms.
