In the face of the complicated situation of the COVID-19 epidemic along with the application of Directive No. 16 throughout the city from 0:00 on July 9, 2021, VNPT in Ho Chi Minh City has accompanied the local authorities Plan and deploy to establish high-speed direct Internet lines, install wireless devices (wifi) at 12 checkpoints at city gateways. This helps create favorable conditions and save time for people to make electronic medical declarations, and at the same time, support the authority to promptly have information on disease control, coordinate in tracing suspected COVID-19 cases.

Not only supporting electronic medical declaration, right from the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Ho Chi Minh City, VNPT Ho Chi Minh City actively mobilized all resources to ensure smooth and safe communication, serving the direction and administration of the People's Committee and departments, boards and branches of the city.

From May 7, 2021 to now, VNPT has connected cameras in isolation areas in all areas across the city, completing 87 points and 1,450 cameras serving the supervision of the Ministry of Health and the City government. On June 21, 2021, a camera system at 15 vaccination points was also set up.
