From January 6, 2023, VNPT officially provides Remote Digital Signature Service (VNPT SmartCA) to its subscribers. Users can now easily register and activate their remote digital signature - VNPT SmartCA at home with electronic identification technology that helps to verify subscribers’ records.

Accordingly, after successful registration of a VNPT SmartCA, users can authenticate their information and activate the digital signature on the VNPT SmartCA application with just two simple steps: taking a photo and recording a paper video (identity card or passport) and compare it with a portrait photo; from there, the process of identification, verifying identity, extracting document information is done automatically, fast and accurately.

It is known that the electronic identification technology is also researched and developed by VNPT Group.

The platform is based on today's most modern and advanced 4.0 technologies such as: artificial intelligence (AI) technology and optical character recognition (OCR) to help extract and digitalize paper information; Liveness Detection technology to combat forms of face spoofing or Biometric Recognition technology to manage user identity.
