On February 29, Hanoi Municipal Police Department and VNPT held a signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement and a plan to implement the cooperation agreement on digital transformation.

In April 2023, the Ministry of Public Security and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) officially signed a comprehensive, strategic cooperation agreement, which is an important premise for Hanoi Municipal Police Department and VNPT to have cooperation activities of overall vision.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Colonel Pham Thanh Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of Hanoi Municipal Police Department, stated that in recent times, Hanoi Municipal Police Department has implemented the directions of the Ministry of Public Security, the City Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee of Hanoi City in digital transformation tasks. Hanoi Municipal Police Department has also advised on the implementation of the Government's Project 06 and has been the pioneer in implementing the project to build a national database on population and the project to build, manage and use chip-based citizen identification cards. These projects have achieved many important results, bringing practical benefits to the peopl, organizations and businesses. That success was accompanied by the active participation of VNPT.

Following that success, along with the direction of the Ministry of Public Security and the City People's Committee, Hanoi Municipal Police Department continues to coordinate with VNPT to complete the cooperation agreement and plan to implement the cooperation agreement in infrastructure development focusing on telecommunications infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, shared infrastructure, transmission infrastructure and other infrastructure to ensure efficiency, modernity, safety and transparency; developing a project to develop and apply information technology in Hanoi Municipal Police Department to 2025, with a vision to 2030; developing digital data, specialized digital signature technical infrastructure and measures to ensure information security and safety to serve Hanoi Municipal Police Department's digital transformation work...
