Participating in the Annual Industry 4.0 Summit 2023 chaired by the Central Economic Commission, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) not only demonstrated its leading solutions in Digital transformation, which has been successfully applied recently, leaders of VNPT Group and experts from VNPT also contributed discussions practical to the reality of digital transformation in Vietnam.

Here, General Director of VNPT Group Huynh Quang Liem had a speech about what mechanisms and policies should be in place to improve the independence, self-reliance, self-determination, and self-sufficiency of Vietnam’s digital technology industry in the near future. According to General Director of VNPT Group Huynh Quang Liem, from the perspective of businesses, regarding the orientation and implementation of national digital transformation, the participation of Vietnamese businesses is very important and must be given maximum priority. If the Party and Government give businesses the opportunity to solve big problems at the national level, with millions of users, it will create favorable conditions for businesses to experience and develop internal resources through solving said problems. The big problems in education, healthcare, agriculture, and land are challenging ones that not only bring about national efficiency but also help digital enterprises improve and accumulate technological self-reliance and self-sufficiency.

During conference sessions of Industry 4.0 Summit 2023, VNPT’s experts also contributed essays that are close to the reality of Vietnam’s digital transformation.

Participating in the specialized conference with the topic “Encouraging the application and development of AI in industrialization – modernization”, Mr. Le Thai Hung, VNPT AI’s strategic director shared that currently VNPT had a digital transformation ecosystem with multifield solutions. VNPT set its own AI technological development goals, which include becoming a top 10 regional AI brand, one of 3 national centers in terms of big data storage and high-capacity calculation, one of three national innovation centers in terms of AI, and becoming a top 20 AI research institutes of ASEAN.

At the specialized conference with the topic “Enhancing smart productive capacity and developing digital industries with Make in Vietnam trajectory”, Mrs. Phan Thi Thanh Ngoc, VNPT’s solution advisory expert revealed that VNPT’s stance on rapid and sustainable development of digital technologies required a combination of self-sufficiency and international cooperation as well as that of strong State and dynamic Market. Along with that, digital technology enterprises must be the center, with the quality and branding of Make in Vietnam as the basis and talented human resources as the key.
