From October 28, people can create VNPT SmartCA digital signatures on the VNeID application of the Ministry of Public Security. Registering a digital signature is completely free. VNPT is the first digital signature provider to meet safety regulations to connect with VNeID.

The National Population Data Centre (Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order, Ministry of Public Security) allows connecting the electronic identification and authentication system of the Ministry of Public Security with the information system of Telecommunications Services Corporation (member of VNPT). From there, citizens with level 2 electronic identity accounts can register for VNPT SmartCA digital signatures on the VNeID application.

Registering for a digital signature is free and it does not require users to provide copies of documents or subscription records like the previous traditional registration method.

This is the second method of creating VNPT SmartCA digital signatures in addition to the method of creating digital signatures right on the VNPT SmartCA app.

The connection between the two systems is the result of research and preparation of technical plans, ensuring connection requirements and data security, complying with the legal corridor of VNPT.
