Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) always regards ensuring security and preventing fraud in cyberspace as one of the highest priority task. This task contributes to promoting customers' belief in VNPT’s brand... That is the assertion of Mr. To Dung Thai - Chairman of VNPT Group at the Workshop on Preventing and Combating Fraud in Cyberspace held on May 13 in Hanoi.
In recent times, VNPT has successfully developed and built identification tools on its telecommunications infrastructure. VNPT's network operator also conducted a resolute review to remove anonymous accounts and telecommunications service accesses such as junk SIMs and fake phone numbers. At the same time, VNPT also tries to block, filter and support state management agencies to investigate and trace bad, unique, and illegal network addresses.
Also according to Mr. To Dung Thai, we will need to identify each object when using digital services in cyberspace. It is estimated that with today's popular digital services (public administration, finance, social networks, email...) there will be about 80 million users, equivalent to about 800 million accounts that need identification. Identifying and authenticating users with each digital service helps users use the Internet "more responsibly", helping businesses and state management agencies more conveniently manage and ensure online security in cyberspace.
VNPT also builds solutions and tools to block and filter malicious content and addresses on network infrastructure as well as solutions to collect network security intelligence (VNPT CTIP). These are solutions that focus on collecting, analyzing and updating information about risks that can affect and threaten the property, reputation and safety of organizations and units such as current cyber attacks. Currently, security holes, illegally leaked information, websites, applications, IPs with fraudulent purposes.
