Over the last few days, in provinces heavily affected by Typhoon Yagi and the following flash floods/landslides, VNPT has synchronously deployed remedial solutions (transmission handling, ensuring power supply, ensuring maintaining infrastructure...) Thousands of VNPTers are working day and night to fix the network to ensure service to the people and the government.

As of September 13^th, VinaPhone mobile service has restored 97% of mobile station infrastructure and ensured smooth communication. It is expected that before September 20^th, 2024, VinaPhone mobile network will have been basically restored. Up to now, in Yen Bai province, the mobile network has been completely restored.

During the information rescue process, even though we have encountered some difficulties in island districts such as Quang Ninh (Co To, Quan Lan...), Hai Phong (Bach Long Vy, Cat Ba), VNPT has implemented technical solutions and restored communications to all of the above-mentioned island districts.

For fixed broadband services, VNPT has synchronously deployed solutions to overcome the fixed broadband transmission network. By the end of September 13, 2024, 97.4% of access devices across the network and 1.91 million active fiber optic internet subscribers/2.13 million before the storm (corresponding to 89.8%) had been restored. Basically, the provinces and cities have restored over 90% of their subscribers compared to the time before the typhoon, except for provinces and cities still heavily affected such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong and Hai Duong. VNPT is closely following the electricity repair progress to carry out our subscriber restoration. It is expected that VNPT will restor the fixed broadband network before September 30, 2024.

Up to now, due to complicated flood patterns, some communes in Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, and Hai Phong are still isolated. VNPT is making efforts to reach these communes to fix the network and communication connections before September 20, 2024.

However, progress depends on weather patterns and developments of floods after the typhoon, and handling of electricity problems. VNPT is closely following the electricity repair progress to carry out our task to ensure subscriber restoration.
