Recently, the electronic identification and authentication AI platform VNPT eKYC has recorded the number of processing requests from users exceeding 1 billion, marking an important milestone in the process of research and application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). Thereby, VNPT eKYC has becomes the first identification and authentication platform in Vietnam to reach this scale.

VNPT eKYC's achievement of processing more than 1 billion requests reflects the rapid growth of the identification and authentication field in the Vietnamese market. This is also a premise for banks and financial institutions to feel secure in choosing biometric authentication solutions for Vietnamese businesses in the context of Decision 2345/QD-NHNN about to take effect.

After 5 years of officially providing eKYC services to the market, VNPT has deployed it to more than 100 banks and institutions of finance, telecommunications and online commerce such as Vietcombank, SHB, MBBank, HDBank, Kookmin Bank, Momo..., helping electronic identification for more than 40 million Vietnamese people. Accordingly, the total number of requests sent to the VNPT eKYC system exceeded 1 billion, with many peak days processing more than 3 million, showing the superiority of technological capacity and computing infrastructure scale.

VNPT eKYC belongs to the comprehensive artificial intelligence ecosystem of VNPT AI. All core technologies of VNPT eKYC are researched and developed according to international standards by a team of AI experts of VNPT Group. In particular, the core facial biometric technology VNPT FaceID is the only technology in Vietnam that meets iBeta's ISO 30107-3 standard for anti-face fraud and is in the Top 10 in the US National Technology and Standards Institute's rankings for 1:N facial search in March 2023.
