Promote comprehensive digital transformation with the VNPT eKYC identity platform

The VNPT eKYC e-identity platform is one of the “Make in Vietnam” digital platforms selected by the Ministry of Information and Communications to introduce and sponsor the media to promote comprehensive and widespread digital transformation.

The VNPT eKYC e-identity platform is one of the “Make in Vietnam” digital platforms selected by the Ministry of Information and Communications to introduce and sponsor the media to promote comprehensive and widespread digital transformation. VNPT eKYC has also been conferred several awards, such as the third prize at the 2019 Vietnamese Talent Awards, the 2020 Sao Khue Award, and a Bronze Stevie at the 2020 Stevie Awards.

eKYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) is a remote, paperless process wherein the identity and address of subscribers are verified electronically, without them going to a bricks-and-mortar place.

On the morning of October 23, 2020, the Ministry of Information and Communications held the Launching Ceremony of the VNPT eKYC Electronic Identification Platform. This is one of a series of events to introduce the Make in Vietnam digital platforms to implement the "National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with a vision to 2030" that has just been approved by the Prime Minister.

Delivering at the launching ceremony, Mr. Ngo Dien Hy, General Director of VNPT Information Technology Company (VNPT-IT) said, one of the most important and urgent factors of digital transformation is the user identity verification solution, so the leading team of VNPT experts have been diligently researching and developing solutions based on 4.0 technologies (artificial intelligence technology (AI), blockchain (Blockchain), data. big (BigData) ...) and has launched the electronic identification platform - VNPT eKYC - to concretize the above prerequisite target. VNPT eKYC is proud of being a completely Vietnamese-owned technology product that will solve problems in Vietnam. Mr. Hy shared, now, eKYC platform is serving from 500,000 to 1 million transactions per day in the fields of banking, finance, insurance ... In the coming time, the fields will be applied and the eKYC solution will be combined with the national database of population with a view to creating a complete electronic identity and authentication platform.
