On August 25, in Finland, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and the Nokia Corporation signed a cooperation agreement on private wireless networks (Private Wireless - LTE/5G) and solutions for smart ports and smart airports.
Under this agreement, the two sides agreed to share a strategic vision for network development and business opportunities from LTE/5G private wireless networks and smart port/smart airport solutions, newly-launched products and services, improvements, technology, information on application cases that benefit airport and port operators. The two sides also agreed to establish a working group for their potential projects in Vietnam such as international airports.
At the signing ceremony, Mr. To Dung Thai, Chairman of the Board of Members of VNPT Group, said that the cooperation with Nokia on private radio networks and solutions for smart ports and smart airports would help VNPT quickly learn new technologies, improve the capacity of VNPT's human resources, as well as take advantage of the resources of experts and partners' experience to cooperate in researching and developing solutions and services in accordance with the requirements of corporate customers in logistics field in Vietnam".
Mr. Ricky Corker, General Director of Global Sales of Nokia Corporation also shared, Nokia believed that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between VNPT and Nokia would bring benefits to both sides when accessing the Vietnamese enterprise market, especially enterprises in the transportation industry, with many great business opportunities for both VNPT and Nokia in the future.
