Responding to the National Digital Transformation Day - 10/10, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has recently coordinated with VNPT Group to organize a seminar on digital transformation solutions.
The seminar was co-chaired by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Pham Quang Hieu and Mr. Ngo Dien Hy, Deputy General Director of VNPT Group, with the participation of many leaders, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leaders of other agencies, departments of VNPT.
According to the Digital Transformation Plan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the period of 2021-2025, three prioritized tasks include: Modernizing the information technology infrastructure to meet the requirements of the digital transformation process; Effectively implementing projects to build e-government; and Digitalizing, connecting and effectively exploiting data.
Mr. Ngo Dien Hy, Deputy General Director of VNPT, said that the implementation of digital diplomacy was becoming more and more important in the context that the Industrial Revolution 4.0 created many new security issues and new contents in international negotiations and in the way of collecting and processing information to solve global problems.
VNPT Deputy General Director affirmed that the group was ready to support the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct an overall survey and comprehensive digital transformation consulting in order to "tailor" the most suitable and "fit" tools and solutions for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Deputy Minister Pham Quang Hieu highly appreciated VNPT's experience and quality of technology solutions. Welcoming VNPT to continue to exchange and coordinate with units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to improve the awareness and capacity of the Ministry's staff for the task of digital transformation, the Deputy Minister emphasized that digital solutions need to meet the requirements of security, safety and confidentiality, taking into account the peculiarities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs such as the need to connect 94 representative offices of Vietnam around the world, serving, interacting and handling both domestically and internationally.
