On February 10, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) signed comprehensive cooperation agreements with Vietnam Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Vietnam Chemical Group (Vinachem) for the period 2025-2030.
Under three newly-signed strategic cooperation agreements, VNPT, Petrolimex and Vinachem have agreed to cooperate extensively in the following fields: prioritizing cross-use of each other's products and services; cooperating in distributing products and services on each party's system and network; and cooperating to create a synergistic strength and other cooperation...
The cooperation between VNPT and Petrolimex focuses on 3 areas: Electronic payment services; Infrastructure services, connections; and digital service solutions. Specifically, VNPT coordinates with Petrolimex to research and deploy the application of payment solutions using the VNPT Money e-wallet when buying gasoline at Petrolimex's gas stations. Petrolimex continues to use the network connection infrastructure services that VNPT has established and has been providing to Petrolimex. The two sides coordinate to review to have a plan to upgrade or replace technology to meet operational needs, ensuring optimization and efficiency. Petrolimex and VNPT agreed to consider researching and proposing the selection and implementation of IT solutions/digital platforms based on the needs and strengths of both parties, in accordance with the provisions of law.
The cooperation between VNPT and Vinachem focuses on 3 areas: information technology application; information security; and cooperation in deploying products in the ecosystems of the two parties. Accordingly, VNPT accompanies Vinachem in deploying new technology applications/platforms 4.0 (AI, Machine Learning...), overall solutions, ensuring comprehensive network security and safety in Vinachem's production and business activities. This is aimed to help Vinachem realize its digital transformation goals on schedule and ensure its optimal efficiency. Along with that, VNPT and Vinachem work together to optimize the efficiency of using products, services and utilities in the ecosystems of the two parties, coordinate their research and cooperation to create new products and services that promote the strengths of the two parties to optimize efficiency and jointly participate in future projects.
Also at the ceremony, Petrolimex and Vinachem signed a cooperation agreement on increasing the cross-use of products and services of the two groups; and promoting two sides’ cooperative activities to distribute products and services on each party's system and network.
With the prestige and position of three big groups in the Vietnamese economy, the signing of the strategic cooperation agreements between VNPT - Petrolimex -Vinachem is expected to bring the parties new opportunities and development potential, together promote the development of potential projects that bring benefits to the country, and research and cooperate to accompany, develop together, and expand into the international market.
